Belhaven University Communication in An Organization Discussion

Communication in an organization is effective as it allows the smooth running of operations. However, people in an organization ought to obtain and uphold communication ethics to ensure that communication does not cause conflicts. According to Men and Stacks (2014), communication ethics is defined by a people’s behaviors in their organization which tend to affect communication. At my organization, the managers understand the dangers of unethical communication and therefore highly promote ethical communication.as a result my organization highly promotes ethical communication. For instance, there is a communication code of ethics that every employee is bound in. in these ethics always act as a good example in following these rules all the time. The managers also organize workshops and seminars that train the employee to promote these ethics. As employees, we are always encouraged to report any ethical conducts by the colleagues without the fear of being reprimanded. This has created a culture whereby every employee respects their colleagues unconditionally. It also motivates me to continue working in this organization. To prevent the workers from using electronic communication, there is a policy that every employee should not be abusive to a colleague or a client through electronic devices. The punishments for such misconducts are very strict and can cost someone the job. This ensures that the employees stay in harmony and work smoothly to the betterment of the organization. The ethical policies in my organization are therefore very strong and demonstrate good leadership as well. This adds value to both the employees as well as the organization.Men, L. R., & Stacks, D.
