14. Systematic review of how are psychological approaches applied in rehabilitation programmes for high-risk Sex offenders by the National Probation Service
The research critically evaluates cognitive-behavioural group treatments used in the rehabilitation of sex offenders adopted by the National Probation Service (NPS) in the UK. In contrast, comparing this intervention with the Good Lives Model and considering a greater focus on protective factors and individual needs. The research attempts to reflect on the limitations of both approaches. It suggests and informs on the intervention, which might be adopted to enhance the effect or rehabilitation of high-risk sex offenders.
